While John Butcher was marrying Edith Hartshorne at St. Alary’s Church Nuneaton, Warwickshire, he fainted three times. One each occasion he was carried to the vestry and revived, and then assisted to the altar until the ceremony completed. The vicar said that the bride, who is Sunday school teacher, bore the ordeal with great plutk.
