ROAD CYCLING RACING.
Yesterday afternoon a ten-mile road cycle race was conducted under the auspices of the (Foxton Amateur Cycling Club. Twelve competitors faced the starter. The course was once around the Cemetery Block and live times round the Johnston Street Block. A heavy westerly wind had to be encountered in Avenue Road. The race resulted as follows: — J. Satherley (160 sec). 1. A. Sharpe (220 sec). 2. E. Coley (120 sec). 3. B. Chrystall (15 sec). 4.
