ROAD CYCLE RACING.
Yesterday afternoon the first road race of a series for a points prize was held under the auspices of the Foxton Amateur Cycling Club The course was once around the Cemetery block, a distance of five miles. A good field faced the starter and the race, which provided an exciting finish resulted as follows :
B. Chrystall (scr.) 1 P. Honour (20see.) 2 K. Martin (16 sec.) 3 L. King (lOsec.) 4 The four placed men finished in a bunch, with half a wheel' between first and second, and a quarter of a wheel between third and fourth.
