FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.
A committee meeting, of the Foxton Teiinis Club was held this week presided over by Mr. R. McMurray (President). Mr. S- Bryant reported that since last meeting Mr. Hutchins and himself had visited Levin with regard to procuring pungas for the enecton of a pavilion at the courts. No difficulty would be encountered m obtaining the necessary supply. _ It was decided to again consider the matter on opening day. Final arrangements were made in connection with opening day. Messrs J. Madden and Pearco were elected new members. Working “bees” were arranged to get the courts in order for the op-. OFFICIAL OPENING OF COURTS ON SATURDAY. * The official opening of the Foxton Tennis Club’s Courts will take place on Saturday, to which the Club extends an invitation to all local sports bodies and the public generally to the present. The Courts are in good condition and some good matches are anticipated on the opening day.
