BOWLING.
A social gathering is advertised to be held in the Racing Club buildings to-morrow (Friday) evening, for the purpose of farewelling Mr J. H. Downes, to which all members are invited. Mr Downes has for some years past taken an active interest in the Club’s administration and sport, and was for over two years secretary to the committee. On Saturday, Terrace End Bowling Club’s green will be officially opened for the season. One rink from Foxton Club will be present.
