FOXTON AMATEUR CYCLING CLUB.
SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING.
A special general meeting of the Foxton Amateur Cycling Club was held in Mr. Little’s shop last evening, presided over by the chairman (Mr. H. Hutchins). There was a good attendance of members. It was decided to suitably recognise the services of the past secretary (Mr. P. Little).
The fololwing were elected to the committee: —Messrs A. East, J. Desmond, and J. O’Neill. The balance-sheet, disclosing a credit balance of £6 8s 9d, was read and adopted. It was decided to call a meeting of the Social Committee to dismiss the proposed cycle track to be reformed on Victoria Park. It was decided to hold a live mile road race on Wednesday and a ten mile race next week for a points prize, points to be Ist, 4; 2nd, 3; 3rd 2; 4th, 1. First prize pair tyres, value 30/-; second trophy value 15/-; 3rd trophy value 5/-; entrance fee fid.
It. was decided to obtain a quotation for clay for the cycle track. Messrs (Brown, Desmond* East and Little were elected judges, G. F. Smith, starter; and Messrs Little and'Smith handicappers. Accounts amounting to £1 18s were passed for payment.
