BOWLING.

At a meeting of Shannon Bomling Club held on Wednesday evening, the date of opening of their green was fixed for Saturday, the 22nd inst. It was decided that the usual progressive Labour Day tourney be held again this year.

On Wednesday two rinks were present from Foxton at the official opening of tlici Levin Club’s green. The weather .conditions were favourable, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. One Foxton rink skipped by Bryant was successful in winning a game, and a second rink skipped by Woods lost to their Opponents.
