ANGLICAN BISHOP’S STATE- ' MENT.

Wellington, October 6. Before the Bible-in-Sehools Committee to-day, Bishop Sadlier (Nelson) denied emphatically there was only a minority of the clergy of the Anglican Church in favour of the Bill which he said had been supported time and again by various Synods in Nelson. Robert Wood, a retired Presbyterian minister, opposed the Bill as an inadequate solution of the difficulty.
