AUCKLAND BIGAMY CASE ADJOURNED.
Auckland, October 5.
lan Cameron, who came up for sentence on Monday at the Supreme Court on a charge of bigamy and whose case was adjourned, appeared before Mr. Justice Stringer.
He had alleged that his legal wife was a woman of ill repute.
Mr. Paterson, the Crown Prosecutor, said that he was prepared to call evidence to prove that the allegations made by Cameron were totally untrue. He met his wife against the wishes of. her mother and married her when she was 19 yeais of age and later deserted her. She went back to live with her mother, who was a most respectable woman.
His Honour adjourned the ease for a fortnight when, if it is desired, further evidence may be called.
