APPRENTICES ACT AMENDMENT.
Wellington, Last Night. An amendment to the Apprentices Act was introduced to-night. Tfie provision in the principal Act authorising the Arbitration Court to make orders governing the proportion of apprentices to journeymen in any indnstry or group of industries in any locality is, repealed. The existing orders of the Court in this respect however are to continue in force (unless cancelled or amended by the Court in the meantime) untii February Ist, 1928, when they are to expire.
