PERSONAL.
Mr C. Francis, who is stationed at the Henderson Post Office, Auckland, is at present spending his annual leave with his parents, in Foxton.
Mr. J. 11. Downes, local gas manager, who has been appointed manager of the Nelson gas works, will relinquish his present position on October 15th.
Miss Mclntosh, of Hawera, who returned this week from a holiday trip to Australia, was a visitor to Foxton yesterday. While in Sydney, she visited Mr. and Mrs. Healey (late of Foxton), who wished to be remembered to Foxton friends.
