THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABUE.
The High Commissioner’s cablegram, dated the 24th inst., reads: —'Hemp, Manila market quiet and prices unchanged. Sales reported in “J” grade, October-December shipments at £43. The Sisal market is quiet and business has been done in afloat parcels. Tanganyika and Kanya No. 1, £37, and No. 2, £36, distant shipments £37 10s and £36 5s respectively. Tow close at hand sold at £3O to £3l value; for shipment of first grade £3l. The New Zealand market is quieter but values unchanged. The New Zealand tow neglected with value, 2nd grade £23 10s, 3rd grade £2l.
