SPRING SHOW.

FINE EXHIBITION

The Foxton Horticultural Society’s annual 'Spring Show was held in the Town Hall to-day. The exhibition was particularly fine and the entries this year totalled 305 as against 317 last year, an increase of 48. A feature of the show is the pansy exhibits, the blooms being of particularly large and excellent quality.

This is the first show that has been held in the new Town Hall and it lends itself nicely to such exhibitions.

The Society’s new table and vases are a decided improvement and also facilitate exhibiting. The President is of opinion that the show is one of the best that has ever been held locally. The blooms are particularly good. There is a slight falling off this year in the decorated table and cooking sections, but the others more than make up for this deficiency.
