At a special meeting of the Carterton Tradesmen’s Association the following resolution was carried. “That, taking into consideration the earnest desire of the Railway Department to meet the opposition prevailing by a general reduction in charges, this meeting recommends that business people loyally support the railway for transit purposes.”
