ACCIDENT AT PLANTATION.
MAN’S COLLARBONE BROKEN,
An accident occurred at the Himatangi plantation on Thursday afternoon as a result of which E. Conn, of Foxton, is now an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. It appears that Conn was engaged in cross-cutting logs when the log he was working on came down the skids and crushed him, fracturing his collarbone and inflicting chest injuries. He was conveyed to his home where he received medical attention, and yesterday was removed to the hospital. This is the first serious accident that has happened since clearing operations were commenced on the plantation over twelve months ago.
