CAR AND SERVICE CAR COLLIDE.
CHILD SERIOUSLY INJURED,
A collision occurred between a Wanganui-Wellington service car owned by Nicholson’s and a private five-seater driven by Dr. P. H. Mules, of Woodville, on a sharp corner on the Turakina Hill on Saturday afternoon. The windscreen of the sendee car was shattered, and Mary Jackson, aged six years, a passenger received severe facial injuries. The ambulance was sent out and the little sufferer was removed to the Wangafiui Hospital. Her condition is reported to be critical.
The occupants of the private car had a miraculous escape, there being no further injuries.
A local resident on the service car received a severe shaking.
