Mrs. M. C. Price, M.A., late of the local D.H. School staff, and now of the Hutt High School, was a visitor to Foxton yesterday, en route to Wanganui. The friends of Mrs. L. Bullard, who recently underwent a critical operation in a Palmerston private hospital, will be pleased to learn that she is progressing ilyThe friends of Mr. D. Gilbert, of Moutoa, who has been an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital for some time, will be pleased to learn that he expects to leave that institution to-day. The death occurred at Wellington yesterday morning of Mi 1 . W. J. Morpeth. Deceased, who was in his 88th year, was a former 'Civil Servant. He arrived in New Zealand at an early age from Prince Edward Island. He leaves a widow and live sons and three daughters.
