BUTTER FAT PAYMENTS.
A considerable increase in advances to be made by Manawatu dairy companies to their suppliers on August 20 gives an indication of better times ahead for dairy farmers in this district. Last month advances were headed by the Shannon company with 1/5 & but this month the Awahuri and Palmerston companies head the list with 1/6. Details of the advances to be made by the various companies are as follows: —AWahuri: 1/6; Palmerston: 1/6; New Zealand Dairy Union: 1/SA; Shannon: 1/5 J.
