Mrs. Alex. McDonald, of Sydney, is spending a holiday in Foxton and is the guest of Mrs. J. K. Hornblow. Dr. E. Kidson, M.A., D.Sc., F.1.P., 0.8. E. the newly-appointed-Director of the New Zealand Government Meteorological Office arrived in Wellington from Melbourne by the Manuka yesterday afternoon.
