Wellington, Last Night. The case in which John Asher is charged with breaking and entering the house of William H. McCarthy, and stealing £8 6/- qnd two tram tickets, and with receiving the tickets knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained, and with setting fire to furniture is the house knowing the house was likely to catch fire, was heard in the Supreme Court to-day. Asher was found guilty and was remanded for sentence.
