THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires at noon to-day as follows: — ’ The indications are for, variable but strong breezes, but south-east-erly -winds, strong to gale prevailing at times. Expect cold and damp weather. Heavy rain is to be expected with rivers Hooded. Barometer unsteady with a falling tendency. Seas considerable, tides poor.
