RUGBY LEAGUE.

AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND TOURS. SYDNEY, July 19. League authorities in Queensland have written to the New South Wales authorities, suggesting that as it is impossible to send an Australian team to New Zealand, a Sydney Club team should be sent, and offering £IOO against any loss incurred. The New South Wales League authorities referred the matter to the Sydney clubs.

With a view to promoting more regular visits between New Zealand and Australia, the Rugby League Council agreed to a proposal that the Queensland.' New South Wales and New Zealand Leagues should be asked to bear one-third of the expenses of a delegate from New Zealand to discuss the matter, and that a letter should be sent to the Queensland League to that effect. — Press Association.
