VALUELESS CHEQUES.
FARM MANAGER PLEADS GUILTY. Wjlliam George Terry, farm manager, pleaded guilty at the Palmerston North Police Court yesterday to seven charges of issuing valueless cheques (one of which was to a local hotel proprietor), and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Evidence was given to the effect that accused had drawn cheques on his own account when he knew he had not sufficient funds to meet them.
