REPORT
The High Commissioner’s cablegram dated 25th insi., reads. Hemp, Manila market dull and lower prices accepted by secondhand sellers, shippers not following and with more enquiry. At close sellers “J” grade ask £43 10s for June-August shipments. The Sisal market is a little more active. No 1 Tanganyika, early shipments-, sold at £37 15s to £3B and No. 2 £37. Tow demand is good and sales made at £39 to £3l, accord-
ing to quality. Mexican is unchanged. Good white offered to Continent at £35. The New Zealand market continues quiet and values nominally unchanged. Business might be possible on the basis of high points at £35 and fair £34.
