“DRIFTIN’ THRU." At the Town ITall on Friday, Harry Carey will be seen as “Driftin'’ Dan Brown, a devil may care adventurer in “Driftin’ Thru.” The story tells of Dan’s adventures in a. small western town, of how lie breaks the hank gambling at the Casino, of how be becomes accused of murder, and of his saving of a ranch which contains gold deposits, from the hands of unscrupulous land sharks. Comedy predominates throughout “Driftin’ Thru." On the same programme “Puppy Love” comedy and news. Usual prices. A blood-stirring epic of British daring. A breathless romance of a dare-devil Irishman fighting for love and the Union Jack in a faraway Empire outpost. Such is “Winners of the Wilderness,” next Saturday’s picture in which Col. Tim McCoy of “War Paint” fame is starred. Usual prices. Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton by reason of their work in “We’re in the Navy now,” which comes to the Town Hall next week, are acknowledged to be the greatest comedy team on the screen.
