The High cablegram, dated the 18th in.st., reads: — Hemp, Manila market quiet. “J” grade, June-August shipments quoted sellers at £43; Sisal market dull and easier owing to absence of demaud. Sales reported of Tanganyika, June-Julv shipments \ T o. 1 £37 10s, and No. 2 £36 15s c.i.f. The New Zealand market is quiet and prices nominally unchanged. The stocks in London at 31st May were 55 tons against 65 tons for the same time last year.
