“THE PONY EXPRESS.”
“The Pony Express,” the famous Paramount Picture coming to the Town Hall to-night, is an epic of pioneer days. The mails of America were carried across the Continent by daring riders who braved burning desert, mountain snows and hostile Indians in an effort to carry the mails across in eight to ten days. Ricardo Cortez plays the part of a pony express rider in the picture. Betty Compson, Ernest Torrence and Wallace Beery, are also prominent players. Also “Fire Away” comedy, and N.Z. scenic. Popular prices 1/- and 1/6. Children 3d and Gd as usual.
On Monday evening the feature “Womanpower,” will head the programme. This is a novel story that deals with the age old power of women in all shades of life to guide the destinies of men. Ralph Graves, Margaret Livingstone and Lou Tel-k-gin are the prominent players,, with supporting films at usual prices.
