Oil Tuesday evening the following members of the Palmerston N. Loyal Manawatu Lodge, M.U.1.0.0. F., paid a visit to the Foxton Lodge to attend the installation .of ottieers of that branch of the order: P.G.’s Bro. Seroggs and Rodgers V.G. Bro. Framjce, Bro. C. W. Blaekbourn, Sister.H. Sehoggs, Bro. C. Lyford (publicity officer) and Deputy Grand Master Bro. Dillcs. Four new members were initiated during the evening. It was decided to send a letter of condolence to the relatives of the late Smith and members showed their respect for the departed brother in the usual manner. On account of illness in the case of one officer elect and the unavoidable absence of another, it was decided to hold over, the in'stallation ceremony until a later date. Feeling reference was made to the presence of three members who represented Marton Lodge, they having made the long journey by car for the purpose of attending the installation ceremony. One new candidate was proposed for membership. An apology for absence was received from District Grand Master Bro. Christenson, who regretted that lie could not be present. After the regular business of the lodge closed, members were regaled with supper and a pleasant evening closed with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
