SKATING

There was a good attendance at skating rink in the Town Hall on Tuesday night and local devotees of the wheels are becoming veryexpert. A novel event in the form of a three-legged race caused considerable amusement. The race was run in heats and was won by Messrs Walls and Hirini. Next Tuesday night there will be a novelty for ladies when a fan and balloon race and a slow race will be got off.
