MYSTERIOUS INCIPIENT FIRE.

As Mr B. Walls was passing Mr Perreau’s shed, in Whyte Street, at 6 o’clock this morning, he noticed smoke issuing from the building, and immediately sounded the tire syren. An investigation disclosed the fact that a sack of tow lying on the ground between Mr H. Osborne’s two Dennis motor lorries, housed in the building, was ablaze. The sack was quickly removed, and the flames extinguished by the Brigadesmen before any damage was done!' The cause of the outbreak is a mystery. Mr E. Parkin passed the shed a quarter of an hour previous to the discovery of the fire, but there was no Bign of the outbreak at that time.
