NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
Our readers attention is drawn to the advertisement appearing in our advertising columns stating that the entries for the big Winter Show, which is to be held at Palmerston North from 14th to 18th June, will finally close on Tuesday, 31st May. These include entries for both Live Stock and Poultry, and it is now time that contemplating exhibitors began to think about sending their entries in.
The prize lists this year and full of generous cash prizes as well as handsome cups and trophies offered for competition in the different sections. There are classes for all sections of the community included, in which arc fruit, honey, vegetables, roots, farm produce, seed and grain, and for the busy housewife classes for home cookery and art needlework are provided. The amatuer photographer has nol been forgollen and a long list of classes for this section will also be found in the booklet. The Manawatu Poultry Association whose show will be hold in conjunction with the big National Dairy Show is now the recognised leading Poultry Exhibition in the Dominion, and entries are received from all over the Dominion. It is well worth a visit and should not be missed.
The application for Doth sideshow and inside space are now coming in fast and there is-every indication that the forthcoming Winter Carnival will be the best ever seen in Palmerston North. Those who have not as yet sent in application for space and desire to make an exhibit are advised to send them in right away as the space is fast being booked up.
