FATAL ACCIDENTS.
MAN CRUSHED TO DEATH AT MANGAHAO.
On Tuesday afternoon an accident occurred at Mangahao, whereby a single man named J. K. Scott was crushed, by a trolley, death occurring within ten minutes. Deceased was working with a concrete plant when a trolley used in connection therewith oven*an, causing the injuries which were to prove fatal within a few minutes., Gisborne, May 17.
Frank McCarten (74), who was knocked down by a motor-car in Gladstone Road on Thursday night, died in the hospital. He had no relatives in Gisborne, but a brother resides in Onehunga.

Hori, the five-year-old son of Mr. A. D. Webster, the well-known horse owner, accidentally shot himself in the stomach yesterday afternoon and died in the evening. He was playing with a rifle, when it went off.
Hamilton, May 17.
Ronald Tetzlaff, aged 17 years, was struck by a piece of asbestos being handled on a roof and was knocked off, falling 25 feet to the ground. He suffered a fractured skull and died in a few hours without regaining consciousness.
