Taking the population of New Zealand in 1925 as 1,364,000, the Dominion has one motor to every 13 inhabitants, states the report of a special committee of the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce. “In America there is one car to a family of three and a-half persons,’ continues the report. “If we assume that the annual increase in importation and the annual increase in population is to be maintained for the next 15 years, we shall arrive at the point in New Zealand where we also shall have a motor vehiele of some sort for each family of three and a-half persons,”
