MONTHLY .MEETING
The monthly meeting of the M'a-nawatu-Oroua River Board was held in Palmerston North On Thursday. Present: Trustees \Y. S. Carter (chairman)’, R. Tanner, B. G. Gower, H. Barber, J. Richardson, A. Buchanan, A. Seifert, J. E. C. Harrison.
The statement of receipts and payments for the year ended March 31, 1927 w r as tabled.
Receipts included rates paid £391 16s lid, rent received £6 10s, fines paid £7 12s 2d, bank overdraft £125 10s’ 9d, cash in hand 10s, total £1658 19s lOd.
Payments: Bank balance on March 31, 1926, £460; advertising £lO 14s, aeroplane account £3B, commission expenses £97 18s 2d, election expenses £3llßs 2d, general expenses £36 Is 3d, bank interest £54 16s 6d, insurance £ll7s 6d, legal expenses £l3B 19s 4d, printing, etc., 19s, rent £39, travelling expenses (engineer) £96 7s 6d, travelling expenses (Board) £l4l 13s, salaries £5lO 15s sd. The statement of assets and liabilities showed assets totalling £2,565 10s 8d .made up of cash in hand 10s, rates outstanding £2411 18s 2d, plant £44 0s Bd, office furniture £74 0s sd, sundry debtors £35 Is sd. Liabilities are made up of bank overdraft £1253 0s 9d, survey account £240 0s lid, cost of commission £825 7s 3d; total £2318 8s lid.
