SECOND DAY AT AWAPUNI.

The Manawatu Racing Club’s Autumn meeting was concluded in cold and showery weather on Saturday. The machine registered a deficiency of £5,179, £25,011 being put through the machine, compared with £30,190 for the second day last year. This made a total for the meeting of £45,264, as compared with £64,199 last year, a decrease of £18,855 for the meeting. Results:—

Kairanga Hurdles: —Elvactte 1, Comedy Prince 2, Brigadier Bill 3. Won by a length and a half. Time 3min. 15sce. (Winner trained by A. M. Wright). Lockwood Handicap: —Rising Star 1, Partaga 2, Wlaicullus 3. Won by a neck. Time lrnin. 15scc. Tamatete Handicap: —Clarinda 1, Yoma 2, Mandane 3. Won by a short head. Time 2min. 8 2-ssee.

Stonyhurst Handicap:—Bevis 1, Peneus 2,' Vivo 3. Won by half a head. Time limn. 27 4-ssec.

Manawatu Stakes: —Joy King 1, Gascony 2, Reremoana 3. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time Imin. Msec.

Cloverlea Nursery Handicap: — Great Charter 1, Sarchee 2,. Lady Limond 3. Won by six lengths. Time lrnin. 2 2-ssec.

Borough Handicap:—Mireusonta 1, First Acre 2, Crown Area 3. Won by a short head. Time lrnin 15sec. Adderstone Handicap: —Gardant I,'Manly 2, Henna 3. Won by U lengths each way. Time lrnin. 56 2-ssec.
