ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The first of the Manawatu Soccer Association’s competition games were played on Saturday, Athletic meeting Rangers, St. Andrews meeting Flock House at the Hostel, and R.S.A. meeting Foxton. Rangers had no difficulty in defeating Athletic, the final whistle finding the scores 6 —2 in favour of the whites.
At Flock House, St. Andrews were successful in defeating the hostel boys 7 —3.
At Foxton, R.S.A. defeated the home team 4 —l.
