ANZAC DAY.

LOCAL OBSERVANCE. Anzac Day will he fittingly celebrated locally on Monday. At 10 a.m. there' will he a service in the District High school. The ministers of the local churches will participate in the service and a short address will he delivered by the Rev. S. Peryman. The headmaster' (Mr. Mason) will call over the school roll of honour and the last post will he sounded by Scrgt.-Bugler Walls. Parents, returned soldiers and the public are cordially invited to the ceremony. PUBLIC MEMORIAL SERVICE. The returned soldiers, veterans, members of friendly societies and Fire Brigade headed by the Foxton Silver Band will assemble at the Municipal Chambers at 2 p.m. and march to the Town Hall, where the following procedure will be observed: —National Anthem, brief address by the Mayor, hymn “O’ God our help in ages Past,” prayer, Rev. S. Peryman, hymn “Recessional,” scripture readings, Adjutant Samson and Rev. W. H. Nicholas, solo, Mrs. F. G. Yeo, address by Captain J. M. Stewart, hymn, “O Valiant Hearts,”. Benediction, Rev. W. H. Walton, Sollection, adjourn to Triangle where wreaths will be laid at the foot of the memorial, “Garland of Flowers” by the Foxton Silver Band and the “Last Post” will be sounded by Sergt.-Bugler B. J. Walls.
