FEBRUARY WORKING.

The amount of gas manufactured during the month of February was 438,000 ft., which with the amount in the holder on February Ist 10,200 ft. made a total of 454,200 ft. During the month 419,100 ft. were used by consumers, 20,000 ft. at the works, and there was 15,000 ft. in the holder on March Ist, making a total of 454,100 ft. accounted for ajul leaving 100 ft. unaccounted for. Thirty-eight tons of coal were carbonised, yielding 11.52Gc. ft. of gas to the ton and producing 12 tons 5 ewt. of coke. The receipts for the month totalled £2OB 14s lOd und were made up as follows:—Gas sales (lighting) £47 19s sd, (heat and power) £147 5s 7d, coke sales £3O 8s sd, tur sales £22 10s Od, fittings £ll 4s Bd, miscellaneous £3 0s 9d. The expenditure for the month totalled £2BO 3s 7d and were made up as follows: —-Coal £lll 5s od, salaries and wages. £45 3s. 3d, seiv vices and fittings £3 15s (id,-tools £2 5s Od, engine repairs 10/6, general repairs £l7 Is Id, meters £l4 15s sd, printing and advertising £0 10s Od, insurance £2 11s 4d, cartage and freight £5 4s 2d, working expenses £ls 10s Bd, Power Board £2, Interest and Sinking Fund £59 11s Bd.
