PRISONERS DASH FOR LIBERTY

Auckland, Last Night. Two prisoners made a dash for liberty from Mount Eden gaol today. But they were recaptured within half an hour. They were Charles Henry Augustus Jones and Charles Henry Whitehead. Both men were working in the quarry at the gaol. They eluded the warders and made a break for some houses in the vicinity. The warders gave chase and recaptured both prisoners at the back of some houses.
