HERRINGTON GOLF CLUB

Members of the Herrington Golf Club met at Mr, Bcrgin’s office on Tuesday night, Mr. A. P. Easton (president) occupying the chair. Mr J. Newton was selected to fill the vacancy on the committee caused by Air. Poole’s resignation. A handicapping committee, consisting of the President, club captain (Mr. M. B. Bergin), and Mr. McMurray was set up to arrange handicaps and to select teams for club matches. The report and balance sheet presented by the secretary was read and adopted. The opening day for the coming season was fixed for Saturday the 9th April, and visitors are expected from the Bulls, Shannon, Levin and Palmerston North Clubs. Arrangements for coaching new members were discussed in detail and further enquiries are to bo made in this direction. A hearty vote of thanks to Mr. F. Robinson and Mrs. J. H. Robinson for use of their land for the links was earned.
