A BROKEN JAW.
CLAIMS AGAINST DENTIST FAILS. Wellington, March 10. The hearing of the claim of \\illiam George Collins for £OO7 from Dr Herbert Charles Faulke, on round’s of defendant’s alleged nefj fence in the extraction of a tooth, thereby breaking plaintiff’s .jaw and causing septic poisoning, was concluded to-day in the Supreme Court, before Mr. Justice. MacGregor. His Honour found that the doctor had) not been negligent, but that plaintiff was himself negligent m not following out defendant s instructions. Although unusual, the breaking of n jaw was always hable to accompany the extraction of teeth. Sepsis, his Honour said, was in the tooth and jaw a t the time of extraction. „ . . The verdict was for defendant who did not press for the cosfts of the action. .
