BOXING.

GRIME WINS FROM PURDY ON POINTS. Wellington, March 10. Billy Grime (9st, Oflb.) triple Australian champion, beat C. Purdy (9st. BAlb.) on points in a 15- round professional boxing contest. The judges disagreed and the referee gave the casting vote to Grime. Grime had to tight all lie knew. Purdy employed in impenetrable smother to Grime’s deadly right. Grime, however, was on top of his man for the, great part of the fifteen rounds, planting his blows quicker and more snappily. Many considered Purdy had won. The verdict met a mixed reception.
