FOXTON SOCCER CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Fox ton Soccer Club was held in the Town Hall supper room on Thursday evening, presided over by Mr. J. McKnight (President). There was a fair attendance. The balance sheet showed a small credit balance. Mr. Hinds said the club had done very well last year. They had started the year with a credit balance of £l6 and had come out ■ with a credit balance. The President said the club had done remarkably well. Besides the credit balance they had a number of assets. The club had not done so well on the playing field hut with a few more players they hoped to do better this season. Mr. Byne congratulated the committee on the excellent state of affairs. They had proved stickers and had done remarkably well. Mr. .T. MeColl also congratulated the oiommittee and officials on the excellent state of affairs. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Patron: Mr. J. McKniglit; President: Mr. J. MeColl; viee-presi-'dents: Messrs H. Satherley, G. F. Smith, H. Nixon, R. Byne, T. Fursdon, and George Gee; secretary and treasurer: B. Hinds; Captain: Mr. C. Mmmsey; vice-captain: (to he elected). The committee was left the same as it was for last season. It was decided to affiliate with the Manawatu centre, and Messrs J. McKniglit and J. MeColl were appointed delegates to centre. It was decided to write to the master at Flock House with a view to ascertaining if there were any Flock House hoys in the district avlio would he prepared to play for Foxton. Mr .J. MeColl thanked the members for electing him President, and said his heart was in the game and he would help the chib along in any way possible. Whenever possible lie would, travel wtili the team. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
