SUGGESTED CARNIVAL WEEK

The 'Mayor (Mr. M. E. Perreau) intenhs to convene a meeting of citizens to discuss the holding of a week’s carnival shortly after Easter. The Mayor in discussing the proposal -with our representative, said the carnival would not be a money-raising effort but more with the object to inspire the people with a greater patriotism in their home town. Special committees would he set up to control sports, illuminating shop displays, musical attractions, etc. We feel confident that the Mayor will receive /the hearty co-operation of sports bodies.. societies and business people to make the carnival a success and a boost for the town.
