The Coroner at Hammersmith censured English women’s ‘‘distracting habit of kissing pet dogs.” The case was a pathetic one, and concerned Mrs. Temple, wife of a barrister, who ‘Consulted a. specialist and was found to be suffering from a virulent disease of the mouth, apparently directly due to a Pekingese biting her on the inside of the mouth.
