TRAGIC DEATH.

——♦ EXPIRES AFTER, PRESENTATION. Gisborne, Last Night. A tragic affair occurred at the Gisbourne High School to-day. Mr. Issac Arthur Winter, aged 70, who had been caretaker at the school for fourteen years retired hist, week owing to failing health. The scholars assembled this afternoon to make a presentation to him. After the ceremony Mr. Winter went outside sat on the school steps and a few minutes later was found dead. Deceased had been treated for heart trouble and it is considered that the excitement of the day contributed towards his death.
