The N.Z. Bacon Co. advertise trucking dates as follows:—Shannon, Monday, 281 b February; Foxlon, Monday, March 7th. A number of local athletes journeyed to Linton yesterday, where they competed in cycling and field events, but without success, H. Reid being the only local competitor who succeeded in being placed, obtaining two seconds for running.
