Gibson, “Girdling the Globe by Aeroplane,” by Lowell Thands; “In Terror of Laughing Clay,” Monk Shadow; “The Lesson,” Ursula Bloom; “Child or Demon —Which?” Eugene Branscombe, “Motherhood and Murder,” by E. Devonpont and numerous other stories all exciting and highly interesting.
“True Love Stories.” —The January number is replete with humantouch stories, chief of which are: — “Vanity,” “Anything for Money,’) “The Great Wave,” “The Man Who Loved My Mother,” “How I was Tempted,” “Awakening Hearts,” “Our Secret Wedding,” and others. True to life stories of love and romance. They will interest you. Weldon’s Ladies’ Journal. February number contains free patterns of new coat Frock and afternoon gown: photogravure supplemwit of Paris fashions and gratis transfer for embroidery; editorial chat,

Fashions included —the new blouse coats, jumpers, skirts, coats, wraps for day and evening, gowns for afternoon, semi-evening and full evening dress, seasonable lingerie, fancy dress styles, overseas fashions, wedding gown- —a picture style and other trousseau designs etc. The February number of Weldon’s Bazaar of children’s fashions, contains free patterns of girl’s velvet dress and dance frock 14/1(1 years, child’s dress and knickers 4/(5 years; fashion notes —designs that are suitable for cloth, serge, gabardine, wool stockinette, flannel check, and plain viyella, cambric, tarantulle, silk etc. Styles for the school girl—including school outfit, coats, pinafore and gym. Dresses for everyday and best wear, overalls, party and dance frocks. Special designs for the small boy. Underclothing for children of all ages, etc.
The etrikilljoy coloured) d'csign on the latest issue of the “Aussie” just, to hand, has been drawn by Frank Bush a Wellington artist. The big laugh in this cover is just an indication of the hundreds of humorous pictures and stories and anecdotes in this issue. Prominent. contributors, to the February issue are Rod. Zquinn, Fred Broomfield, Louis T. Martin, Jim Grahame Fsson and other writers whose names are household words in Australia and New Zealand. Altogether a very fine issue. “Humour,” a popular illustrated weekly, is always enjoyable reading but more so since its promoters have introduced their new printing process of the paper giving it the full line value, to every drawing in its pages.
