FOXTON METHODIST CIRCUIT.
At the’ quarterly meeting of the above recently held, necessary appointments of officers for the current, year were made. Mr A. R. Osborne was re-elected as one of the circuit stewards. Mr J. Chrystall was elected representative to the annual conference, which is to open in Auckland at the beginning of March, with Mr W. E. Bullard as t substitute.
On the motion of the Chairman, all those who had assisted in the work of the churches during the past year were heartily thanked. By a silent standing vote, the sympathy of the meeting was extended to Mrs Signal and members of her family, on the death of Mr. W. Signal, and also to Mr and Mrs Fergusson and family, of Oroua Downs, in their tragic loss.
After considerable discussion . a suggestion to take steps to attach (bo Shannon church to the Levin circuit, was lost.
The next meeting is to he held at Koxlon on April 14th.
