SENSATIONAL BURGLARY AT DANNEVIRKE.

£2OOO WORTH OF DIAMOND RINGS' STOLEN.

Dannevirke, February 3,

The fifth safe robbery within five days look place last night when a local firm were the victims of a heavy loss.

Between 10.30 and midnight last evening, the premises of Messrs Stubbs and Millar, jewellers, in the centre of the business portion of the town, were broken into by burglars. Entrance was effected by forcing the front door. The safe, was then unlocked, and the contents, mostly diamond rings, were removed, nothing being taken from the other portion of the shop. The value of the rings was £2OOO. The police are investigating the circumstances.
